IID Announces Membership in FIRST

IID is excited to announce our new membership in the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), a recognized global leader in incident response. FIRST was founded in 1990 and has since been active in bringing incident response teams together to share ideas on security issues affecting the industry. As a member, IID will collaborate with these security experts and teams, sharing insights and operational expertise on cyber threats.

FIRST efforts in cyber security include a global initiative to improve best practices in preventing and resolving online attacks, as well as on-going cooperation within the industry and amongst experts to promote a more secure online world through the sharing of experience, expertise and information.

As a member of several industry working groups, IID works both to protect and advance the cause of people and organizations victimized by on-line crime, and we look forward to similarly participating in the FIRST community.
